Mary Lelia Groft, 89, of the 700 block of E. Bayview Blvd., died June 20, 1996.
Mrs. Groft, the widow of William H. Groft, was born in Bridgeville, Pa. She retired as a teacher and manager of school cafeterias in New Jersey. She was a member of Bayview Baptist Church. She was a director for Girl Scout camps in New York and New Jersey for 18 years.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by Dr. Hennie Becker and Pastor Ronald Sampley. Burial will be in Old Tennent Church Cemetery, Tennent, N.J., Monday at 11 a.m. There will be a visitation at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Bayview Baptist Church, 707 Bayview Blvd., Norfolk, Va. 23503.
