James B. Adkins, 80, of the 900 block of Goodview Drive, died June 19, 1996, in his residence.
Mr. Adkins, a native of Norfolk, retired from quality control at G.S.A.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian H. Adkins; a daughter, Janice Singletary of Virginia Beach; a stepson, Ray Wilson of Virginia Beach; a sister, Evelyn Hardison of Virginia Beach; a grandson, Joel Singletary of Chesapeake; and a granddaughter, Amy Singletary of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be conducted at noon Saturday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Paul D. Moore. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m.
