ESTHER P. FETTY

Esther P. ``Kay'' Fetty, of Halstead Avenue, died June 20, 1996, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Fetty, better known as Kay by her friends, was well known in the ceramic industry having owned and operated Kay's Ceramics in Norfolk for the past 25 years. Her students during this period won many national, state and local awards.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph W. Fetty Jr.; a daughter, Susan Haugh of Norfolk; three sons, Leslie David Fetty of Chesapeake, Dana P. Fetty and Dean Joseph Fetty, both of Norfolk; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She is also survived by her mother, Della M. Plott and a sister, Linda Moore, both of Norfolk; a brother, Rev. Glenn Plott of James City County; four nieces; two nephews; three aunts; and numerous cousins.

She was a 50-year member of Virginia Heights Baptist Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Virginia Heights Baptist Church, 1251 Kempsville Road, Norfolk, with interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens and the Rev. George Boyd officiating. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m.
