Joseph Lynn Boswell, 62, of 103 Shoshone Trail, died Thursday, June 20, 1996, in Chowan Hospital, Edenton.
A native of Chowan County, he was the son of the late William Louis and Mrs. Beulah Palmer Boswell. He was the owner and operator of Boswell's Market. A member of the Edenton Baptist Church, he was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Cobb Boswell; three daughters, Linda Boswell of Richmond, Cynthia B. Ward and her husband, William Charles Ward, of Summerville, S.C., Jennifer Boswell of Greenville, N.C.; a son, J. Bradley Boswell of Washington, D.C.; five sisters, Hazel Habit of Portsmouth, Nancy Ingman of Corona del Mar, Calif., Helen Lockhart of Winterhaven, Fla., Edna Romine of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Rebecca Boswell of Portsmouth; a brother, James Boswell of Norfolk; and two grandchildren, Ryan Ward and Brooke Ward.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Beaver Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Don English. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, and all other times at the residence.
