Adrienne W. East, 60, died Friday June 21, 1996.
She was a native of Portsmouth and had been a Peninsula resident for the past 24 years. She retired from Thomas Nelson Community College as registrar in 1993. She was a Presbyterian and was the first president of Community College Support Staff Association.
Mrs. East is survived by her husband, Choice E. East; her daughter, Michelle E. Scott of Wood River, Ill.; her son, C. Eric East of Norfolk; her brother, Warwick E. White of Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Sacha, Morgan and Kalin Scott.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m Sunday in Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home by the Rev. H. Wilson. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 303 Butler Farm Road, Suite 106-A, Hampton, Va. 23666.
