TILDEN M. WINDER

Tilden M. Winder, 69, of Hudgins, died June 22, 1996.

He was a member of Mathews Baptist Church, Master Mates and Pilots, and American Legion Post (NU)83, Hudgins, Va. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a retired merchant marine.

Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, Eloise W. and Charlie Davidson of Mathews and Elizabeth W. and Frank James of Portsmouth; a niece, Charlene Diggs of Gloucester Point; two nephews, Charles A. Davidson Jr. of Newport News and F. Jefferson James of Chesapeake.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews. Burial will follow in H.C. Smither Memorial Cemetery, Hudgins. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad, Mathews, Va. 23109, or to a charity of your choice.
