CRIME REPORT

Local police are seeking public assistance in solving these cases: VIRGINIA BEACH

A 20-year-old man was shot in both legs after two masked men forced their way into his home in the 1200 block of Clydesdale Lane in the Level Green area at 1:30 a.m. on May 16.

One man was armed with a shotgun. The other had a pistol. The man with the pistol shot the victim through both legs before running from the home.

Both suspects are described as black, in their 20s, between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall, with thin builds. Both were wearing hooded sweat shirts with bandannas covering their faces. One of the men may have had dreadlocks. PORTSMOUTH

A man tried to break into a home in the 200 block of Idlewood Ave. about 2:30 p.m. on May 1. The resident, a 47-year-old woman, heard glass breaking and called 911. She then confronted the intruder with a knife.

As the man reached through the broken window for a lock, the victim stabbed the man in his right hand, which was wrapped in a towel.

The man then fled.

The man is described as white, in his late 40s or early 50s, 6 feet tall and about 180 pounds. At the time of the incident, he had a full beard and was wearing a royal blue T-shirt with a red checkered flannel shirt. SUFFOLK

Thieves entered the storage trailer at Tidewater Tire Service in the 800 block of North Main Street on June 17.

They stole a large number of 13-, 15- and 16-inch tires that were stocked for delivery. The tires had yellow chalk markings on the tread. CHESAPEAKE

Patricia Williams, 34, is wanted for failing to appear in court on a grand larceny charge.

Williams is described as black, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 145 pounds. Her last known address was in the 100 block of Lexington Ave.

Gregory Bell, 37, is wanted for failing to appear in court on a possession of cocaine charge.

Bell is described as black, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 180 pounds. His last known address was in the 1600 block of Cardigan St. ILLUSTRATION: Police sketch

Portsmouth police are seeking this man in connection with an

attempted break-in on May 1.
