Iola Riddick Hobbs, 91, of Route 1, died Sunday, June 23, 1996, in Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City.
Mrs. Hobbs was born in Gates County. The daughter of the late Charlie and Mrs. Sallie Stallings Riddick, she was a homemaker and a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church. She was the wife of the late Lycurgus W. Hobbs.
Surviving are one son, Donald Ray Hobbs of Gatesville; two sisters, Marie Howe of Bel Air, Md., and Dorothy Chappell of Suffolk; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one stepgrandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Riddick Family Cemetery by the Rev. Bobby Hewitt. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, and other times at the residence.
