VIRGINIA BEACH - Michael A. Martinette Sr., 85, of the 2600 block of Au Sable Place, died June 21, 1996, at Sentara Bayside Hospital.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
He was former president of Southern Beauty Supply Company, past governor of the Norfolk Moose Lodge (NU)39, Scottish Rite 32nd degree Mason-Khedive Shrine Temple and member of Kempsville Masonic Lodge (NU)196. He was a member of Squires Memorial Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth S. Martinette; his three sons, Cecil V. Martinette and his wife, Helen, Thomas W. Martinette and his wife, Dorothy, and Michael A. Martinette Jr., all of Virgnia Beach; three stepsons, John C. Kohler of Kingstown, R.I., Paul D. Kohler of Springfield, Va. and Lester D. Kohler of Pisgah Forest, N.C.; one stepdaughter, Susan E. Wright of Lunenburg, Va.; three sisters, Adeline M. Chiera and Estelle M. Facenda, both of Suffolk, and Rose M. Pascarosa of Norfolk; and one brother, Charles Martinette of Virginia Beach; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Masonic rites will be accorded at the service. Friends may join the family for visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. before the service Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital or to a charity of the donor's choice. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
