Rosie Byrum Suis, 81, of 1334 N.C. 45 North, died Sunday, June 23, 1996, in Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.
She was a native of Bertie County, a member of Riverside Baptist Church and the Martha Sunday School Class.
Survivors include a daughter, Delcie S. Farless of Merry Hill, N.C.; a son, John C. Suis of Chesapeake; two sisters, Viola B. Pierce of Windsor, N.C., and Jessie Mae Copeland of Hertford, N.C.; a brother, Manley Byrum of Windsor, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Karen F. Webb of Greenville, N.C., Wood Farless of Merry Hill, N.C., Charles Farless of Edenton, N.C., Shelia F. Silver of Manteo, N.C., Johnny C. Suis Jr. and Donald Lee Suis, both of Chesapeake, and Shawn Suis of Hertford, N.C.; and 20 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted today at 3 p.m. at Riverside Baptist Church by the Rev. Dennis Conner. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, is in charge of arrangements.
