A photo on Monday's MetroNews front showed Earl Davis helping net
fish, part of an effort to improve a spillway between Lake Pembroke
and the Lynnhaven River in Virginia Beach. A caption misidentified
Davis as James F. Willenbrink, who initiated the project.
Willenbrink was shown in a photo with the continuation of the story.
A Sunday MetroNews photo showed Michael Wilcher hoisting a log
for the caber-toss event at the Tidewater Scottish Festival in
Chesapeake. Wilcher's last name was misspelled. Also, the caption
should have stated that he and other junior-division contestants
started the competition with a caber (log) used for older
competitors, but that, for safety reasons, a judge had them switch
to a smaller caber. by CNB
