The Pilgrim Virgin of Fatima statue, which is traveling the United States, will be at Virginia Wesleyan College from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The visit will include a lecture and video on the prophecies of Fatima and the National Rosary Crusade.

The statue is a likeness of Mary, the mother of Jesus, as she appeared to three children in Fatima, Portugal, in 1917, according to Catholic Church authorities.

The statute is in the custody of the Portsmouth-based Divine Mercy Apostolate and is on a mission of world peace.
