Richard M. Detloff, 52, died June 12, 1996.
He was born April 24, 1944 in Ann Arbor, Mich., and came to Sarasota five years ago from Virginia Beach. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Steven's Point. He was a computer programmer, a board member of Suncoast Center and a volunteer at Resurrection House. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1983 when he retired. He was stationed in Fasotragulant NAS Oceana Virginia Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Julia; a daughter, Mary Jo; and a son, John A. He also had brothers and sisters who loved him in Spain.
