Ruth Audrey Bailey Sparrow, of Sewells Point Road, died June 24, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital. Mrs. Sparrow was a native of Norfolk.
Survivors include her husband, Walter H. Sparrow Sr.; three daughters, Ruth A. Williamson and Diane J. Thomas, both of Virginia Beach, Wilhelminia J. Moore of Norfolk; a son, Walter H. Sparrow Jr. of Indianapolis, Ind.; a sister, Adlean Riblett of Norfolk; two brothers, George A. Bailey Jr. of Virginia Beach, William L. Bailey of Norfolk; 24 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday by the Rev. Rupert R. Wallace in Laurel Avenue Church of Christ. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
