LILA G. WILLOUGHBY

Lila Greene Willoughby, 87, of the 300 block of Cherry St., died June 25, 1996, in Roanoke Chowan Hospital.

Mrs. Willoughby, the widow of William Blount Willoughby, was a native of Gates County, N.C. She was a member of Cool Spring Baptist Church, Eure, N.C.

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley W. Miller of Ahoskie; two sons, William F. Willoughby of Louisville, Ky., and L.M. ``Jake'' Willoughby of Ahoskie; a sister, Frances Schoenberg of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Robert May in Garrett Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ahoskie Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Roanoke Chowan Hospital, P.O. Box 272, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910 or to the Ahoskie Rescue Squad, Ahoskie 27910.
