Marcia Elaine Todd Sawning, 43, died Monday, June 24, 1996.
She was a personnel management assistant at the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center and a member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk. Mrs. Sawning was a volunteer at Lake Taylor Hospital, Ocean Air Elementary School and an active member of the National Defense Transportation Association.
Surviving are her husband, Clifford L. Sawning; her parents, Margaret and Malcolm Strout; a sister, Ruth Sansalone, and her husband, Pat Sansalone; and a nephew, Sam Sansalone, all of Virginia Beach.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Rosewood Chapel, Kellum Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home by the Rev. Bill Charnock. Entombment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. Memorial gifts may be made to the Marcia Todd Sawning Memorial Fund, c/o Mrs. Ruth Sansalone, 6313 Eastport Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23464.
