Curtis Jerome Thorne, 35, of the 900 block of Liston Lane, died June 25, 1996, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.
Mr. Thorne was born in Portsmouth and was a former member of New Hope Deliverance Center, Portsmouth.
Survivors include his parents, Henrietta V. Thorne and Jesse W. Thorne Jr. of Portsmouth; five brothers, William L. Thorne, and his wife, Annette Thorne, of Washington, D.C., Patrick B. Thorne, Linwood Thorne and Lloyd Thorne, all of Portsmouth, and Timothy R. Thorne of San Diego, Calif.; his maternal grandmother, Ada Vine; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews cousins, in-laws and friends.
The graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. by Elder Willie S. Porter in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is in charge. The viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. Friday. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 2:45 p.m. Saturday for the funeral service.
