GEORGE W. DELLINGER SR.

George Wesley Dellinger Sr., 66, died June 26, 1996, in his residence.

He was a native of Steinman, Va. and was a Baptist. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a recipient of the Purple Heart.

He is survived by his wife, Sallie Brewer Dellinger; two sons, Michael W. Dellinger Sr. of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., George W. Dellinger III of Portsmouth; two sisters, Evelyn Anderson of Easton, Pa., Billie Ruth Rasnick of Dante, Va.; two brothers, Earl Dellinger, of Grundy, Va., Harry Dellinger of Vansant, Va.; and five grandchildren.

A funeral will be held on Saturday, June 29, 1996, at 11 a.m. in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel by the Rev. Tom Potter. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and other times at 57 Wayland Drive, Portsmouth.
