Ellen ``Mama Ellen'' Wilson, 89, of the 1300 block of Bolton St., died June 25, 1996, in Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.
A native of Norfolk, she was a retired manager of Gem Cafe for 21 years after 37 years of service.
Survivors include three daughters, C. Olivia Lee Wilson, Mary E. Jackson and Ethel Williams, all of Norfolk; grandchildren, Mary E. Lee of Richmond, Shelia Davis of Brooklyn, N.Y., Deborrah M. Edwards of Newport News, Alfred Walton Sr. of Norfolk; eight great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and nephews, James Wilson and Robert Long.
The funeral will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in Bethel Baptist Church, Norfolk. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Hale Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
