Jason ``Jay'' L. Armstrong, 18, a former Virginia Beach senior at Ocean Lakes High and a Florida resident, died June 13, 1996, in Hyde Park, N.Y.
He was a senior this year and a member of the chorus at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School. He was also an avid football and basketball fan. Born in Poughkeepsie on Oct. 1, 1977, he was the son of David Armstrong of Millbrook, N.Y., and Loraine Campbell Green and stepfather David Green, both of Rhinebeck, N.Y.
Mr. Armstrong is also survived by a daughter, Chelsea M. Armstrong of Virginia Beach; two brothers, David Armstrong Jr. of Rhinebeck, N.Y., and Russell Lee of St. Augustine, Fla.; paternal grandparents, Warren and Joyce Armstrong of Staatsburg, N.Y.; maternal grandmother, Delores Campbell of Staatsburg, N.Y., and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation and services were held at Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Route 9, Hyde Park, N.Y., and officiated by the Rev. Thomas Hartly. Burial was in Schultzville Cemetery in the Town of Clinton, N.Y.
