An early morning fire Thursday destroyed the warehouse of a company that makes kitchen cabinets, fire officials said.
No one was injured in the blaze at Interior Trends Cabinet Co. It was reported to firefighters about 4:05 a.m. by a neighbor, said Jack Goldhorn, a spokesman for the Department of Fire and Paramedical Services.
The building, in the 5800 block of Curlew Dr., was destroyed. Goldhorn said there was one minor explosion caused by laminates and polyurethanes used to make the cabinets.
Investigators Thursday afternoon were still trying to determine what caused the blaze. Goldhorn said the fire may have been accidental. The owner of the company told investigators that two employees entered the building at 2 a.m. to pick up cabinets to deliver out of town.
The company employs nine people. Goldhorn said damage was estimated at $400,000. by CNB
