Margaret L. Forbes, 78, of the 2000 block of Emmett Drive, died Thursday, June 27, 1996, in a Chesapeake hospital.
Mrs. Forbes was born in Petersburg, Va., and was the daughter of the late Charles and Susie Wilson Williams. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was also a college graduate regent member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, South Norfolk Chapter (NU)947.
Survivors include her husband, William F. Forbes; a daughter, Margaret Ann Forbes Pericy of Statesville, N.C.; four grandchildren, Richard Bell, Robert Bell, John Bell, and Connie Bousel; seven nieces and nephews, Sadie Westmoreland, Diana Moorhouse, Charles Williams, Hubert Williams, Sue Canella, Roger Williams, and Sandra Smith; and a step-niece, Margaret Mikalatos.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. William F. Mahon and Chaplain Kenneth A. Askew in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 437 Providence Road, Chesapeake, Va. 23325.
