Derek Lofton Creed, age 25, died on June 26, 1996.
He was a student at Norfolk State University and Old Dominion University.
He is survived by a son, Dazhon Creed; Kimberly Wright Creed, mother of Dazhon; devoted friend, Catherine Washington; mother, Barbara Creed; father, Reginald W. Creed; a brother, Joseph W. Creed; several uncles and aunts; numerous cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. in Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 5181 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach. Interment will be held Monday in New Jersey.
