Due to a typographical error, a front-page headline Friday referred to Vice Adm. Harold W. Gehman Jr. as the ``vice NCO'' nominee. Gehman has been nominated as vice chief of naval operations, or vice CNO.
Corfu, an island off the coast of Greece, was misidentified on the Enterprise Battle Group tracking map in Friday's Virginian-Pilot. Corfu is to the north. You can find it at map coordinate V-44.
USAir does not own Eastwind Airlines, as stated in an Associated Press story in Wednesday's MetroNews section. The story was about a problem landing in Richmond involving an Eastwind jet. by CNB
