Gertrude Elizabeth Brown, 83, of the 600 block of N. High St., died June 30, 1996, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.
Miss Brown was a native of Purcellville, Va., and was the daughter of the late Edwin and Lillian Birdsall Brown. She was a graduate of Madison College. Miss Brown had retired from People's Drug Store in Bethesda, Md., and was a member of Bethel Friends Meeting.
Survivors include two brothers, Howell S. Brown of Purcellville and Delbert F. Brown of Franklin.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bethel Friends Meeting with the Rev. Kenneth Thames officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Bethel Friends Meeting, P.O. Box 434, Franklin, Va. 23851. Wright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
