The Ocracoke Child Care recently was notified that it is the recipient of a $15,000 grant from the Kathleen Price Bryan Family Fund of Greensboro.
The grant will be used for the initial stages of construction of a child-care facility that will enable Ocracoke Child Care to double its capacity and, as a result, serve twice the number of children from low-income families.
Ocracoke Child Care is a non-profit, membership-owned center that provides services to local families and island visitors. The Kathleen Price Bryan Family Fund supports North Carolina non-profit initiatives in arts, youth, education, health, human services and public interest.
