Tim Beasley is a man of many faces - and personalities. This professional celebrity impersonator can bring to life the likes of Johnny Carson, Elvis, Clint Eastwood, General George Patton and John Lennon, all at the drop of a hat.
Beasley performs at corporate/retail promotions as well as festivals and theme parties. He recently emceed the Viva Elvis Festival's karaoke competition as ``the King'' and he'll be performing as another rock legend, John Lennon, for the ``British Invasion Festival'' this Friday at the 17th Street Park. Beasley and Paul McCartney impersonator Bill Staley perform Beatles hits as ``The 60's Beat'' and will open for the Spencer Davis group.
Full name: Timothy Owen Beasley.
Hometown: Roanoke.
What brought you to the Beach? The idea of living and making life happen in this great resort city!
Birthdate: March 10, 1952 (a Pisces Boomer).
Occupation: Entertainer/emcee (Bob Barker meets Tom Jones?).
Nickname: ``Killer Beez'' (fits my ``Jerry Lee Lewis'' cat OK).
Marital status: Marriage No. 1 past history, and now I've got a great lady, Harriet.
Children: Robert and Cheryl Marie.
What is your idea of a perfect day off? Lazy late rise followed by more lazy, then a great relaxing lunch to get back some energy (I know it sounds like a python), no rushing about, just being cool and topping it off with dinner on the back deck enjoying a Lynnhaven River sunset.
Last smart thing you did: Making myself boss.
Last dumb thing you did: Forgot to check the tide chart and got stuck a few hours in the low tide mud.
Favorite meal: I could put snow crabs on the endangered species list (love those legs!), with steak, huge salad and a great beer.
Favorite movies: ``The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,'' ``Close Encounters of the Third Kind,'' ``What About Bob?'' and ``Blues Brothers.''
Favorite song: Any by Beatles, Beach Boys or Eagles.
Last book read: ``The Whole Pop Catalogue,'' by the Berkeley Pop Culture Project.
Hobbies: Collecting unusual stage props and costume pieces for my shows wherever I travel.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Change my facial ``laugh lines'' into mere ``chuckles.''
If you could change one thing about your spouse, what would it be? Get her to enjoy ``action adventure flicks'' with me.
Secret vice: Breyer's vanilla ice cream with a good dose of amaretto.
Favorite restaurant: Alexander's on the Bay.
Your favorite night on the town: Dinner with friends and maybe a show or better yet something simply spontaneous.
Favorite TV shows: ``David Letterman,'' ``Mystery!'' ``Dave's World'' and ``Married With Children.''
Favorite sport: Canoeing.
Last vacation: London - what a town, Luv!
Pets: Our ``Halloween'' cat ``Pumpkin,'' and all of Harriet's Bay critters and birds (she reminds me of Snow White).
Worst job: Construction hell in my younger years.
Of what achievements are you most proud? Raising my children the best I could, making a success out of my entertainment business and as Elvis and Frank would say, ``Doin' it my way.''
What would you like as your epitaph? ``The Beez goes on.'' ILLUSTRATION: Staff photo by D. KEVIN ELLIOTT
