In her June 22 column, editorial writer Kerry Dougherty of Virginia Beach really did a fine job of ``building a bridge over troubled waters.'' She refers to the ``antics of Norfolk'' as being awfully unneighborly.
When the little strip of Virginia Beach merged with Princess Anne County years ago, it landlocked Norfolk forever. If Norfolk could repay that ``antic,'' tell me how.
I for one would like to see the pipeline sink if Norfolk could effectively supply Virginia Beach with water - for a price, of course.
