CHARLES L. BELL SR.

Charles A. Lindberg Bell Sr., 70, died June 30, 1996, in a local hospital.

Mr. Bell was a native of North Carolina and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Bell locally was a carpenter for B.F. Bell Construction for several years.

He is survived by a son, Charles A.L. Bell Jr. of Virginia Beach; six daughters, Linda Yvonne Ward of Virginia Beach, Sybil Gail Hall of Portsmouth, Mary Teresa Holton of Smithfield, Pamela Denise Foor of Ohio, Sheila Annette Howard of Chesapeake and Mona Lisa Bell of Franklin; a brother, Benjamin Franklin Bell of Norfolk; sisters, Lorraine Hudson of Virginia Beach, Lucy Mae Lovelace of Norfolk and Sarah Harrington of Virginia Beach; 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday from noon to 3 p.m. in Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel, Virginia Beach. The services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow services in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach.
