Peggy Mears Ward, 54, died of cancer July 1, 1996, in P.R.M.C, Salisbury, Md.
Born in Onley, Va., she was a computer specialist for the Department of the Navy. She was a member of Assawoman United Methodist Church and Assawoman United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her husband, Fred J. Ward Jr. of Assawoman; a son, Mark Allen Ward Sr. of Oak Hall, Va.; mother, Mrs. Ellouise B. Mears of Atlantic, Va.; sister, Mrs. Willie Perrella of Seattle, Wash., and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted 4 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Emily Brothers in Assawoman Cemetery. Fox Funeral Home, Temperanceville, Va., is in charge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society or the Assawoman United Methodist Church Memorial Fund c/o Mrs. Pauline Chesser, Assawoman, Va. 23302.
