Diane Virginia Hart Galanides, 42, formerly of Norfolk, died July 2, 1996, in Raleigh, N.C.
Mrs. Galanides was a native of Norfolk. She was a member of Freemason Street Baptist Church in Norfolk. She worked for the National Institute of Health and attended North Carolina State University.
Survivors include her husband, Peter D. Galanides Jr.; her mother and father, Virginia S. and Robert B. Hart of Norfolk; a brother, Edward D. Hart of Virginia Beach.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, at Freemason Street Baptist Church in Norfolk by Dr. Donald J. Dunlap. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts.
