Jurel B. Manseau Sr., 67, of the 3300 block of Justis St., died July 1, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Manseau was born in Gates County, N.C., and was a member of Norview Masonic Lodge (NU)113. He was owner and operator of Chesapeake Gun Works and Peninsula Gun Works. He also retired from Norfolk Naval Base in 1975 as an accounting technician after 28 years. He was an Army veteran of Korea.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Gloria H. Manseau; a daughter, Katrina M. Jackson and her husband, Joey of Virginia Beach; a son, Jurel B. Manseau Jr. of Virginia Beach; a granddaughter, Tabitha K. Jackson and a grandson, Dylan J. Jackson.
A funeral will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. by Pastor Robert E. Hobson Jr. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Masonic rites will be accorded at the graveside.
