James Wright Hoggard, 72, died July 1, 1996.
Mr. Hoggard was a member of the Berean Baptist Church, a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and served in the U.S. Army in World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Askew Hoggard; four daughters, Connie H. Moseley of LaCrosse, Va., Cleo H. Bass of Franklin, Edna H. Bales of Severn, N.C., Phyllis H. West of Cofield, N.C.; three sisters, Nettie H. Garrett of Goochland, Va., Addie ``Gail'' Garrett of Windsor, N.C., Nancy Embler of Williamston, N.C.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will he held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Berean Baptist Church, Boykins, by the Rev. Charles W. Alvis. The family will receive friends at home. Donations may be made to the Berean Baptist Church. Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins, is handling arrangements.
