Elizabeth B. Crumbley, 73, of the 6800 block of Fordwick Drive, died July 2, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Crumbley was a native of Alabama. She was a graduate of the Nursing School of the Baptist Hospital in New Orleans. She had been active in civic and religious affairs for many years.
She is survived by her husband, James N. Crumbley; two daughters, Harriet C. Head of Chesapeake and Elizabeth C. Allanson of Berryville; two sons, J. Edward Crumbley of Round Rock, Texas, and John M. Crumbley of Wayland, Mass.; and five grandchildren.
Her body was given to Eastern Virginia Medical School. A memorial service will be held Friday at noon in McKendree United Methodist Church by the Rev. Bruce Carper. Memorial contributions may be made to McKendree United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer's Association, Hampton Roads Chapter.
