LUCILLE F. SALZBERG

Lucille Fleischer Salzberg, 71, died July 3, 1996.

Mrs. Salzberg was a native of New York, but spent all of her adult life in Norfolk. She served as the first president of the Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast. She was on the board of directors of the Endependence Center. She worked with youth groups at Temple Israel and volunteered at Sentara Breast Cancer Center. Mrs. Salzberg was also on the board of the Jewish Family Service.

Survivors include her son, Joel Salzberg of Norfolk; her daughter and her husband Sara and Steve Austin of California; her son and his wife, Adam and Kathy Salzberg of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Rachel Austin, Rose, Nina, and Robert Salzberg; a sister, Elizabeth Gitten of California, a sister and her husband Helen and Sigmund Posner of Florida; her brother and his wife Morton and Doris Fleischer of New York; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Reba and Sam Sandler and Edythe and Bernard Salzberg of Norfolk.

A chapel service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday July 5, 1996 in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, by Rabbi Samuel Sobel and Cantor Yael Fischman. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Jewish Family Services, The American Cancer Society, or the Endependance Center.
