PORTSMOUTH - Vernon L. Drewery, 69, of the 3600 block of Winchester Drive, died July 1, 1996. Mr. Drewery was born in Virginia.
Survivors include six sons, Albert Trotter of Portsmouth, Marvis Trotter, Michael Anthony Trotter, Vernon Trotter, and Henry Trotter, all of Salisbury, Md.; a sister, Helen Terrell Manning of Portsmouth; two brothers, Thomas Drewery of Suffolk, William Terrell of Portsmouth; six grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Pentecoastal Holiness Church, Churchland, by Bishop Thad Brinkley. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will begin today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at 3605 Pierce St., for the procession to the church. Serenity Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is in charge.
