Mary Jane Garrigan, 92, died Tuesday July 2, 1996.
During the 1920's and 30's she was an active trumpet player. Mrs. Garrigan was also an active volunteer with SEVAMP at Virginia Beach Department of Social Services.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Fisher of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Deborah, Pamela and Patrick Fisher; and a great-grandson, Drew Kenneth Fisher. Mrs. Garrigan was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Garrigan; a sister, Agnes Grubbs; and a brother, Albert Davis.
A memorial mass will be said 1 p.m. today in St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Interment will be private. Kellum Funeral Home is in charge.
