PAUL H. KUBE SR.

Paul H. Kube Sr., 70, of the 3300 block of Foxgrove Lane, died July 3, 1996, in Portsmouth General Hospital.

The Rev. Kube was pastor of the Oak Grove and Riverview United Methodist Church and former pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and was retired from the Supply Department of Norfolk Naval Shipyard before going into the ministry. He was active in the United Methodist Men and served as district coordinator. He received the God and Country Award from the Boy Scouts, and was active in various civic and community organizations. He served as a volunteer chaplain at Portsmouth General Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Jeannie Kube; daughter Karen Tew and son-in-law Billy Tew; son, Paul H. Kube Jr.; four grandchildren, Kristi, Katie, Bill-Bill and Ryan Taylor Tew; and brother, the Rev. William E. Kube.

The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Broad Street United Methodist Church by Dr. Donald H. Traylor and the Revs. Kathryn Pigg, Arthur Wolz and William E. Kube. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today for visitation.
