IVA H. DRAKE

Iva Holland Drake, 90, of the 19000 block of Sedley Road, died July 4, 1996, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Drake was a lifelong resident of Southampton County and was the daughter of the late Edgar Lee and Dora Lou Carr Holland. She was the widow of Theodore R. Drake Sr. Mrs. Drake was a member of Sedley Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy D. Burgess and her husband, McCoy, and Shara D. Kitchen and her husband, Nick, both of Sedley; a son, Theodore ``Ted'' R. Drake Jr. of Suffolk; a sister, Eunice Britt of Waverly; two daughters-in-law, Betty Turner of Chesapeake and Evelyn Benton of Whaleyville; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Melvin Turner, Wilbur Turner and Jacqueline Drake.

The funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Revs. David Johnson and James Smith. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home or at the homes of Mrs. Drake's daughters on Sedley Road. Memorials may be made to Sedley Baptist Church.
