Virginia Williams Baldwin, 83, died July 3, 1996, at Maryview Hospital.
Mrs. Baldwin, formerly of Godwin, N.C., was the widow of David R.P. Baldwin Sr. She was a member of Cottage Place United Methodist Church and the Esther Chapter 37, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, David. R.P. Baldwin Jr. and his wife, Bertha, of Chesapeake; two daughters, Doris Jeane Baldwin Pruett and her husband, E.J., of Ranger, Texas, and Jenny Baldwin Landin and her husband, J.C., of Chesapeake; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
The funeral will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in Cottage Place United Methodist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. James D. Thomas. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth. Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
