Lindsay Henry Phillips Sr., 95, died July 4, 1996, in his residence.
Mr. Phillips, a native of Jacksonville, N.C., retired from the Ford Motor Company. He was a U.S. Marine veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Natt Rhodes Phillips; two daughters, Eileen Phillips Casey and Mary Anita Phillips, both of Virginia Beach; two sons, Ira Jackson Phillips Sr. of Virginia Beach and Lindsay Henry Phillips Jr. of Chesapeake; a sister, Geneva Phillips Parham of Cary, N.C.; three grandchildren, Kimberly Casey Stinnette of Virginia Beach, Dana Lynn Casey of Raleigh, N.C., Ira Jackson Phillips Jr. and his wife, Michele, of Gates County, N.C.; and a great-granddaughter.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m.
