Kathryn V. Phillips, 76, a native of Paterson, N.J., died July 5, 1996, in a Chesapeake hospital.
Mrs. Phillips, the widow of William L. Phillips Jr., retired as a sales associate from J.C. Penney at Military Circle, where she has a host of friends. She was a member of Colonial Baptist Church, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include five sons, William L. Phillips III and his wife, Marilyn, Robert L. Phillips, all of Chesapeake, Richard L. Phillips and his wife, Sherry, Barry L. Phillips, all of Norfolk, Michael L. Phillips and his wife, Lori of Virginia Beach; a brother, Nick Vanderstad of Florida; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and family relatives from Danville, Va., Greensboro, N.C., Pennsylvania and Florida are acknowledged.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday by Pastor Dan Davey in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
