Mary Margaret Wade, 82, of the 600 block of Shillelagh Road, died Friday July 5, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mrs. Wade was born in Emporia, Va., and was the widow of Marvin Lemuel Wade. She was the daughter of the late Mary Jane Long and John Lewis Thorpe. Mrs. Wade was a member of Grassfield Baptist Church, Chesapeake, and the Woodman of the World.
Survivors include her two daughters, Mary Frances Eason and Nancy Hewitt, both of Chesapeake; her four grandchildren, Mary Jo Bailey, Joseph Wade Eason, Sherry Ann Coup and Randy Hewitt; and her seven great-grandchildren, Chris, Justin, Chelsea, Kyle, Lyndsey, Brandon and Blake.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. Rick Mallory. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday. Memorial donations may be made to the Grassfield Baptist Church, 1772 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, Va. 23323.
