Hazel Harris Dale, 75, of the 1000 block of Couch Circle, died Saturday, July 6, 1996.
She was born in Grandy, N.C., the daughter of the late Gettis and Ruth Mercer Harris. Ms. Dale was a retired secretary, and a member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherry D. Dale of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Gloria H. Poyner of Coinjock, N.C., Frances H. Moore and Elma H. George, both of Virginia Beach; a brother, Gettis Harris Jr. of Spot, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted in Twiford Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, Monday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Bob Crute. Burial will follow in Powells Point Baptist Church Cemetery at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home of the sister Frances Moore, 4823 Poolside Road, Virginia Beach.
