Johnnie Lee Heath, 75, died Friday, July 5, 1996 in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mr. Heath lived his early life in Pitt County and had made his home in Chesapeake since 1951. He was employed as a bus driver for the Carolina Trailways Bus Company out of Norfolk for 32 years until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of the Algamated Transit Union Local 1493.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Peaden Heath; three daughters, Rachel Heath Churchill of Chesapeake, Hazel Lee Preston of Sanford, N.C., Sara Delores Pritchard of Chesapeake; a son, Johnnie Irvin Heath of Starke, Fla.; six sisters; three brothers; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted Monday at 3:30 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel, Greenville, N.C. Entombment will be in Pinewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be todayfrom 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
