ALFRED D. CHERRY

Alfred D. Cherry, 85, of the 2600 block of Azalea Garden Road, died July 5, 1996 in his residence.

He was a native of Tipton, Pa., and retired from NORSHIPCO as a supervisor after 33 years of service. He was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Edith L. Cherry; two daughters, Joyce L. Cherry, Patricia L. Spears and her husband, Herbert C. Spears, all of Norfolk; a son, Carl A. Cherry and his wife, Karmel H. Cherry, of Chesapeake; a sister, Mary Bagley of Syracuse, N.Y.; a brother, John Cherry of Bellwood, Pa.; five grandchildren, Robert C. Spears, Carla L. Moyer, Timothy S. Spears, Kimberly Y. Cherry and Robin D. Brandt; and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. William E. Amon. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
