Gladys L. ``Duck'' Barnes, 60, of the 3200 block of Kimball Terrace, died July 3, 1996 in a Norfolk hospital. She was a native of South Norfolk.
She is survived by two daughters, Ethel Mae Barnes and Josephine ``Lois'' Barnes, both of Norfolk; a son, Roland Hayes Barnes of Norfolk; three sisters, Ida Hatten of Chesapeake, Clara Bethea and Mary Sue Vick, both of Norfolk; a brother, Alexander Barnes Jr. of Norfolk; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted on Tuesday at noon at St. Joseph AMEZ Church by the Rev. Charles A. Eason. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Pretlow and Sons' Funeral Home, Chesapeake is in charge.
