Ann Sydoriak Walker, 86, of the 200 block of Kay Road, died July 5, 1996 in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Walker, a native of Ansonia, Conn., was a retired physical therapist and had served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Medical Specialist Corps. She was a member of Fleet Reserve Branch 40 Auxiliary; the Portsmouth Area Chapter of the Retired Officer's Association; R.S.V.P.; the American Red Cross; the Western Branch Homemakers; and was a past president of the River Edge Garden Club. She had served on the Mayor's Senior Citizen Commission and belonged to the Portsmouth Senior Citizens Club and the Beazley Community Center. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and was the widow of Kinch Harrison Walker Jr.
Survivors include a son, Kinch H. Walker III of Groton, Conn.; a sister, Antoinette Sydoriak of Jamesburg, N.J.; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including Marianne Lazarus of Lexington, Mass.; and William Sidorak of Closter, N.J.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Trinity Episcopal Church by the Rev. Dr. Geoffrey M. Hahneman. Burial with military honors will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11, in Arlington National Cemetery. Friends may join the family Tuesday from 5 to 6 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth.
