D'ANGELO D. PETTUS

D'Angelo Demetric ``D'' Pettus, 37, of the 1500 block of Fairbanks Ave., died July 3, 1996, in a local hospital.

Mr. Pettus was born in Norfolk and was a custodian with NationsBank. He also worked for Butler's Shoe Store for nine years and Hofheimer's Shoes for four years. He was a graduate of Maury High School.

Survivors include his parents, Jacqueline Pettus and Charles A. Pettus Sr. of Norfolk; five brothers, Charles A. Pettus II, Andre W. Pettus, Marvin Pettus, Clifton O. Pettus, all of Norfolk and Trent L. Pettus of Philadelphia; his grandparents, Alice Turner and William Barksdale, both of Norfolk; two nieces, Andrea Cooper of Norfolk and Shannon Hill of Newport News; a nephew, Charles Davis of Norfolk; and a host of other devoted relatives and special friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in New Hope Church of God in Christ, 3232 Brest Ave., by Dr. Herman Clark Sr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 4000 Colonial Ave. at 10 a.m. Wednesday for the procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
