Martha Hampton Lamkin, 76, of the 1400 block of Chestnut Ave., died July 7, 1996, in Chesapeake.
Mrs. Lamkin was born in Boone, N.C., and was retired from Lamkin Upholstery Co. She was a member of Indian River Baptist Church in Chesapeake.
Survivors include her husband, Carroll S. Lamkin; two daughters and their husbands, Phyllis and Brett Bunch of Portsmouth and Deborah and Tommy Barnes of Chesapeake; a son, David M. Lamkin of Fort Worth, Texas; six grandchildren, Dean and Jennifer Bunch, Derek and Brian Lamkin and Emily and Michael Barnes; and five sisters and brothers.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Indian River Baptist Church by the Rev. Robert E. Jordan. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and at the residence at all other times.
